These custom invitations for Kailey and Phillip’s Journeyman Distillery wedding feature a custom monogram in pine green letterpress. Finished off with a vellum wrap, hand calligraphy, a custom envelope liner, and a wax seal, this invitation suite is stunning!
I had the pleasure of meeting Kailey at Journeyman Distillery’s Weddings and Whiskey bridal show. And, shortly after the show, we started working on her wedding invitation suite! Kailey loved the look of letterpress, had a specific vision for a custom monogram, and knew she wanted to incorporate dark green and rose gold throughout the stationery.
For their custom monogram, I created a custom wreath illustration with subtle florals and greenery to wrap around the couple’s initials.
We created a coordinating response card, also in dark green letterpress. So Kailey could get an accurate headcount for the reception, we added space for guests to indicate the number of people attending, as well as select a meal choice for dinner.
Since their wedding and ceremony were both at Journeyman Distillery, a mini insert card was the perfect size to share reception details with their guests. For more details regarding accommodations and travel, the couple directed guests to their wedding website.
I created a custom pattern for the envelope liner out of the same hand-drawn leaves and vines from the monogram and used a bit of the florals for the wax seal to tie all the pieces together. The seal was placed on a vellum belly band, which was wrapped around the invitation suite to keep everything in place.
The finishing touch was hand calligraphy guest addressing by Nikki Meer of Made by Meer.! I’m obsessed with how the white ink calligraphy looks on these dark green envelopes!
