Embellishment Pairings
Choosing individual embellishments can feel like one more decision with no clear right answer. That’s why every Studio Edition suite includes your choice of one curated pairing: two elements selected to complement each other and your invitation, so your suite arrives looking finished and intentional from the very first piece guests touch.
Vellum Folder + Wax Seal
Semi-translucent vellum wraps the suite with an ethereal, layered look, and a wax seal is the natural, elegant closure that holds it in place. A pairing that makes practical sense and looks intentional doing it.
Works well with: a ribbon or belly band added à la carte underneath the seal for added layering
Gatefold + Belly Band
A gatefold wraps around the suite like a jacket, creating a reveal moment when opened. A belly band keeps it neatly closed and adds a layer of color or pattern before guests even get inside. A more structured presentation with a sense of occasion.
Works well with: a wax seal added à la carte to seal the belly band closed
Envelope Liner + Belly Band
A liner brings color or pattern inside the envelope, while a belly band wraps the suite together cleanly on the outside. A polished combination that layers pattern and structure without feeling overdone.

Belly Bands
A gatefold is a printed wrap that folds around your invitation suite like a jacket, opening from the center to reveal the pieces inside. It creates a moment of anticipation before guests even reach the invitation and sets the tone with pattern or artwork on the outside before they see a single word.

Studio Edition gatefolds are paired with a belly band. Choose an all-over pattern or art print for the outside of your gatefold, with the option to use a different design on the inside for a layered, unexpected detail.

Studio Edition orders include ½" wide ribbon with a woven edge, supplied on a spool. The number of spools needed is calculated based on your suite size and quantity.

Vellum Folders
A semi-translucent wrap that folds around your invitation suite, giving it a soft, layered look while keeping everything neatly together. Vellum has a delicate, ethereal quality that partially conceals the invitation beneath while still allowing the design to show through.
Studio Edition suites include a plain vellum folder. If you’re interested in printed vellum (with a pattern, monogram, or artwork), please reach out. It’s not available to order directly through the Studio Edition shop, but I’m happy to talk through what’s possible for your suite.
