You want invitations that feel thoughtful, elevated, and unmistakably you—but figuring out how to get there can feel like a maze.

The more you research timelines and etiquette and printing methods and paper weights, the more confusing it gets.

You’re not indecisive, you just want to make the right choices for a once-in-a-lifetime day.

You don’t need more inspiration, you need a plan.

A better way to

bring your
vision to life

Imagine a stationery process where you feel supported instead of left guessing: A clear path that turns your ideas into a suite you’re proud to send.

You want confidence that the details are right, everything works together beautifully, and nothing slips through the cracks.

You need a guided experience that leads to a suite that’s thoughtfully constructed, not pieced together.

Because invitations are experienced, not just seen.

Every etiquette guide agrees: your invitations set expectations long before guests arrive.

How a suite opens. What’s revealed first. How information is layered, held, and read.

These decisions shape the experience as much as paper and ink.

We begin by deciding how your invitation should feel in your guests’ hands.

Are you looking for a grand reveal? Something tailored and refined? I’ll help you define your vision and we’ll build the invitation presentation to suit.

This step determines how the suite is opened, what’s revealed first, and how information is layered.

design refinement

With the direction established, we’ll tailor it to your style.

This is where your personality comes in. We’ll determine colors and wording, papers and printing methods, then layer in meaningful elements like monograms, borders, patterns, or venue sketches.

I’ll offer recommendations at each step of the process, so decisions feel supported and never overwhelming.

What to expect in your

wedding invitation proposal

Your proposal provides a starting investment based on your selected finish level.

Rather than asking you to select and price every detail upfront, my proposals outline the scope and process first.

Once the finishing direction is established, you’ll receive a detailed invoice before anything is sent to print.

This approach allows for thoughtful design decisions without locking you into pricing before the vision is fully developed.

 Made-to-measure custom invitations
start at $2500, with most couples investing between $3,800–$6,000 for a complete invitation suite including printing, finishes, and assembly.

How much do custom invitations cost?

Invitations are mailed 2-3 months before the wedding. To reserve your ideal mailing date, book your custom invitation order 7-9 months before your wedding. Save the dates are best booked at least a year in advance, and mailed 9+ months before your wedding.

When should we order wedding invitations? When do we mail wedding invitations?

That’s completely okay, and common!
You don’t need a fully formed vision to get started. I’m there to guide the process, present curated options, and help translate your preferences into a cohesive suite.

What if I don’t know exactly what I want yet?

You don’t need a final guest count to get started - we’ll base the proposal on an estimated quantity. You’ll have flexibility to finalize the number once guest addresses are reviewed.

What if our guest count isn’t finalized yet?

Made-to-Measure gives you the results of bespoke design, with a clear framework that keeps the process streamlined.

Unlike semi-custom, you’re not limited to preset fonts or illustrations. And unlike fully custom, you’re not starting from a blank page or expected to art-direct every decision.

How is Made-to-Measure™ different from semi-custom or fully custom invitations?

Yes. Additional services (like custom venue illustrations or hand calligraphy) can be added to any Made-to-Measure order.
These elements are shown separately in your proposal.

Can we include custom elements like a venue illustration or monogram?

Yes! Ordering a sample box is a great way to see and feel the paper, printing styles, and finishing details in person. Once booked, I can send additional samples that showcase the materials and colors we’ll use in your invitation suite.
You can also view my portfolio to see real couple’s wedding invitation suites.

Can we see samples of past work?

“Working with Banter & Charm was one of my favorite memories from wedding planning.”

Above all else, Sarah is a professional, and you know it immediately. She has a lovely process for brides who can’t meet in person, and provides such helpful insight as the process evolves. On top of that, she elevated my vision and gave me a keepsake that I will always treasure. Sarah is helpful, creative and so on top of it, I am grateful for her beautiful work!

Wedding stationery brings a lot of questions (totally normal).

See the paper in person.

Photos can’t capture the weight, texture, or impression of letterpress.

Once you feel the paper in
your hands, the quality is unmistakable—and every
decision becomes easier.
